There are several colleges and universities that offer these courses and are accredited by the American Bar association. You can complete a four year bachelor degree and a master’s degree if you choose.

The internship in paralegal studies is very important to obtain work experience. Students can work in a law firm, the office of the attorney general, government agencies and corporate legal departments. Specialized training in environmental law, medical malpractice and personal injury law is also available. This is the most important aspect of this industry while defining the career path of success.

While there are many law firm positions for paralegal graduates, their education vastly differs from that of a lawyer. They cannot obtain a bar license or practice as a licensed lawyer. As a paralegal the average salary is $38,000 according to the National Association of Legal Assistance. These are important points to keep in mind if you choose to enroll in paralegal studies.  However, if you are interested in the subject, it could be a fulfilling job.
